5Good, reliable memoryApr 23, 2014

As with most Kingston memory products, these are no different. They worked perfectly upon installation, and are running, daily without issue today. I can highly recommend these memory modules.

5An incredible addition to my computer!Mar 28, 2014
By Kenn Caesius
It's ironic that with the end of support of Windows XP SP3 this April, I decided to finally max out my computer's motherboard. On the other hand, I am not someone to upgrade just because some corporation is telling me what I got ain't of any use.

The two-pack of one-gigabyte PC2700 184-pin RAM modules by Kingston is just that and the most memory my Asus P4SP-MX motherboard can identify. I upgraded from two 512 Megabyte RAM modules that where working great but when the opportunity came up to buy RAM this cheap, I thought it was about time. Since I am mostly a productivity-type PC user, I have yet notice any major boosts in speed - I did notice Windows XP boot a little faster but it also did take longer for the BIOS to do its memory check. Not that I am complaining - I probably will not see a difference, if any, until I try the CD/DVD authoring or if I can ever find the time to play some contemporary PC games.

About the only concern I have is regarding the NEW claim by the seller. When the RAM modules arrived, they came in a sealed anti-static baggie but through the silver packaging I swear the contact pins were marked as if pulled from another computer. Considering just how inexpensive and particular this modules were to me, I am willing to look the other way but I must say that I did have some expectation that the modules would have arrived in a retail packaging.

In short, you get what you pay for. The two modules were just what I needed to give my computer that final boost and I figure I am set for another ten years or until some catastrophic damage happens, which ever comes first. I take care of my property and got some faith in the Kingston brand, seeing that I use their flash drive on a daily basis.

I bought this as expansion for an old table computer. Installing extra memory really speeds up the computer. Very Satisfied with this purchase.

5Works like a charmJul 10, 2013

I was looking for memory to help improve my mom's older computer. She previously had only 512MB of memory. This kit was perfect. Installed easily. Performance is definitely enhanced.

5I ALWAYS Recommend Kingston!Mar 30, 2013

I have had problems with other manufacturers. Memory is the best upgrade for your money, and will definitely extend the useful life of your computer, assuming other parts don't fail of course. Memory rarely fails provided it was good at the time of manufacture. Kingston tests all their products prior to shipping, and it shows. I have never received a defective product from them. Other memory may be a little cheaper, but consider the cost and time of replacing defective DIMMs. I do this for a living, and have experienced so many delays with the other brands, I will not even consider them.
